Spiritual Central India with Rajasthan Tour

The proposed tour program goes as under:

Day 01 - Delhi Arrival

Arrive Delhi and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02 - Delhi

Full day combined sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi - visiting Qutab Minar one of the tallest tower of it's time, Humanyun's Tomb one of the forerunners of the Taj Mahal, drive past India Gate and President House and other government buildings, Red Fort symbol of mighty Mughal empire, Jama Masjid one of the biggest mosques in India, Chandni Chowk and Raj Ghat (Mahatma Gandhii's Memorial). Overnight at hotel.

Day 03 Delhi-Varanasi

Morning fly Delhi to Varanasi. Arrive Varanasi and transfer to hotel. Afternoon excursion to Sarnath - visit the sites where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon. Evening visit Dashwamedh Ghat to witness evening prayer on holy Ganges. Overnight at hotel.

Day 04 Varanasi-Khajuraho

Early morning transfer to the riverfront for a dawn boat ride along the Ghats River Ganges when devotees offer their Morning Prayer venerating holy water. Later, walk through the narrow alleyways of Old Varanasi exploring some important temples. In time transfer to airport to board the flight for Khajuraho. Arrive Khajuraho and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 05 Khajuraho

Morning visit the Eastern Group of temples  also, visit newly excavated 10th century Chandela temple. Afternoon visit Western group of temples. Overnight at hotel.

Day 06 Khajuraho-Orchha-Jhansi-Agra

Morning depart Khajuraho by surface for Jhansi (178 km approx.) stopping by en route to visit Orchha Palace and royal cenotaphs that line along the bank of Betwa river. Arrive Jhansi in time to board evening train for Agra. Arrive Agra and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 07 Agra

Visit the Agra Fort from where four of the mighty rulers from Mughal dynasty ruled their vast empire, Itmad-Ul-Daula  a beautiful mausoleum built by Nurjahan wife of Mughal Emperor Jahangir for her Persian father Mirza Giasuddin Beg or Itmad-Ul-Daula. After lunch visit most beautiful monument of love the Taj Mahal, this is flawless to its conception and execution. Overnight at hotel.
Note: Taj Mahal remains closed on every Friday.

Day 08 Agra-Jaipur

Transfer to Jaipur visiting abandoned citadel of Mughal Emperor Akbar, Fatehpur Sikri on the way. Arrive Jaipur and check in at hotel with rest of the day at leisure or free for optional activities. Overnight at hotel.

Day 09 Jaipur

Morning visit Amber Fort, the formidable Fort from the invading enemies. Climb atop fort's rampart on elephants back. Later, visit City Palace and museum that houses artifacts, weapons, manuscripts and royal garments. Also, visit Jantar Mantar (astronomical observatory) that works quite accurately till date. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10 Jaipur to Delhi and Depart

Morning depart Jaipur by surface for Delhi (275 km approx.) Arrive Delhi and transfer to international airport to board the flight for onward destination.
